Poles

Three yellow cedar
poles grace the river's edge on
a wet, chilly day.

I didn't even get out of my car this morning. A storm blew up overnight. It's wet, cool and windy. Not a nice day at all.

This sculpture in western yellow cedar, was commissioned in 2002. The sculpter, Giles Kent from the UK, works mainly in wood. The largest of this trio of poles is 25 feet high. The work sits on the Rivers Trail North at Km 3.5.  Sadly, the plaque at its base has been removed by thieves.
