Which way is up? This yellow iris somehow got confused with a spiky rose bush to battle with. 

Extra are some ants on peony buds. I’ve been trying to get this to flower in 2 gardens over the past 15 years and think I may get to see a flower at long last. You need to be patient if you are a gardener. 

5 community Covid cases here today ( associated with a preschool) and 1 in Victoria. It’s running riot in other countries. Elections in NZ and the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) and the Bathurst 1000 is on if you’re a race fan. Footy Finals too so there’s plenty of interest for the news bulletins.
