Pink and Wrinkly

Our original plans for today were scuppered when we awoke to a cheerless dull wet day. As it brightened up, we each did our own thing. My walk took me back to the harbour and beyond. The range of birds there was similar to those on my previous visit - the Ringed Plover were a little closer so there's a photo in extras. As I continued, a spotted a woodpile and saw these pink fungi - it's a species I've always wanted to see - Wrinkled Peach. I was slightly disappointed that one group was not fully developed and another slightly squished up (extras), but still thrilled to see them.
