Lubilee Jubilee!

We'd decided not to go out for a drive and a picnic today as the forecast had changed from sunny to dull! However by late morning the sky was blue and we changed our minds again and took a picnic up to Appin. Before eating we walked over the Jubilee Bridge and back - I'd not done it before tho' Mrs M had. It's a narrow timber bridge crossing the mudflats and saltmarsh at the head of Loch Laich from the Port Appin road to the main A828. Lots of birds on and around the water and good views across to Castle Stalker and woods with autumn colour, but unfortunately the sun refused to come out and light up the scene. Not the best day for photography I'm afraid. The extra is a picture of Castle Stalker - complete with monster you'll notice!

After a quick picnic - in the car -  we drove the short distance to Kinlochlaich Garden Centre where I had a good rummage round the expanding woodland garden with owner Fiona. (Sounds  like a limerick coming on!) I must come again shortly and spend more time talking plants! It began to rain on the way home, but at least we got out for a while!

Quote of the Day:

Graeme Le Saux – “When you live by the sea, there are definite seasons when you can see the weather coming and going, which lends itself to photography.”
