Squelch

There's nothing like the scrunch of autumn leaves as one walks through them. It is one of the wonderful sounds of autumn.

Unfortunately, Wednesday's walk along the Banknock Railway Path took place in persistent rain and the sound reaching my ears was more of a damp squelch. Not quite so appealing, either to ears or feet.
