Follow-up: It's been rebuilt!

On 14th March I blipped a photo of a local wall (surrounding a small block of flats) which had been demolished by a speeding (uninsured) driver.

On 1st August I had a Grumpy-old-Man moan about the fact that the housing association which owns the block of flats had seen fit to replace it on-the-cheap with a rather tacky fence.

I wasn't anywhere near as grumpy as many other local residents. When the Council proved powerless to help (in spite of this being a conservation area where like is supposed to be replaced with like), one of the locals managed to persuade the housing association of the error of their ways.

So - success! The wall has now been rebuilt - they've made a lovely job of it. And it only took them 2 days.
