Bitter Sweet

Despite the ongoing and depressing grey weather, I found some yellow leaves remaining in the prairie. Of course the flower heads have all but dropped off now. They make for interesting textures and the brighter leaves move the eye around a rather dark image.

It was also quite breezy and due to the low light level I didn't have a lot of room for manoeuvre and tried to keep the shutter speed as high as I could.

There was some light falling on the main flower and I opted to keep the brightest patch of yellow in the mid left background for it relate to. There is also a sharp/soft contrast going on.
