A splash of brightness on a dull day

Ruth and I took all 3 kids to the park this morning, in the rain and brisk, sharp wind.  Her partner Josh works away from home on Mondays and Tuesdays; I look after Frieda on Tuesdays, so a get-together on this wet, half-term day was a way to help each other out.  In the picture, she's giving 15 month old Luca a drink of milk, while keeping an eye on Eben as he plays in the big sandpit nearby.  I was walking Frieda around in the pushchair as she was tired out, having been up since 5 a.m.
The playground, in the wind and rain, was busy. Parents in huddles, chatting and trying to keep warm. Kids, oblivious to the weather, generally having a great time.
