This is a perfect day for making soup. It's grey and damp outside. It's warm and cozy inside. I can smell the aroma all through the house. 

My daughter and I have begun to swap soup this month. She is a brilliant cook so I really get the advantage there! We each make a big pot and then put two-cup servings into containers that can be frozen. She'll be getting my chicken vegetable soup this week.
