Survivor

This sunflower's a survivor,
grew from birdseed spilt
from feeders in the garden.
It's small, but doesn't wilt,
not even in October,
as there's been no sign of frost.
The birds have not gone hungry
so win-win - there's nothing lost.

There's still so much colour in our daughter's garden. While Little Miss B played in her beloved outdoors, Mrs B and I did a little gardening. And Mr PP mowed the lawn. Although it was very windy, it was much milder than yesterday.
