Happy grandchildren

Well now we are to lockdown for 4 weeks but not till Thursday. Prof Devi Sridhar says it like it should be. - Shut borders and get a functional track and trace. Which we didn’t do in June and are still unlikely to do. What a shambles. They were advised to do it 2 weeks ago but they wouldn’t listen. Grrr.

To cheer me up I’ve made a collage of this lovely quartet, courtesy of the daughters. Thomas and James are open-mouthed with excitement. What had they seen? Otters at Washington wetlands. Ella and Nathaniel were at Chimney Sweep drama club all week as their mum needed the time to get caught up with her school work. The show, Wizard of Oz, was put on DVD so that families could see it. Nathaniel was a munchkin and Ella a monkey. They loved it.

Well folks, stay safe. Try to keep cheery - though I’m struggling as I’ll miss my birthday walk with S and M, not to mention the House of Tides Michelin Star lunch Mr C had booked for us.
