Day and Night

Happy Hallowe'en!
Ghosts, jack o'lanterns, spiders
Deck the neighbourhood

~ carliewired

This house down the street from our office is always ready for Hallowe'en. They've been perfecting their decor for years now. I go by to see what has been added or changed.

To trick or treat or not, that is the question. It's been hotly debated for weeks leading up to the big day. Our provincial health officer has asked us to keep the celebration small and close to home. That seems to be interpreted in a variety of ways. It certainly is a quiet night in my immediate neighbourhood. There are no school-aged children in our area so no worries about a child coming to the door. There are lots of fireworks going off all over the north shore, so I'm getting a front row seat from my house. It's after 8 PM now, so things will start to quiet down.

Our clocks go back overnight. That's another hotly debated topic this year. I would think this would have been the perfect year to abandon the practice, but our provincial government is holding fast to tradition.
