An ordinary life....

Find the Pheasant...

Pheasants must be the stupidest birds alive!  This one stood in the middle of the road watching us approach then sauntered over to the left hand grass verge.  Just as we were almost level with him, he decided the right hand grass verge was where he really wanted to be, and made a dash for it!  He made it by the tip of his tail feathers then looked back at us as if WE were the idiots!  Who's that coughing at the back?!

Other than that excitement, it's been a calm day.

Another family day as Ashleigh still off and Christine (who took over the shift) was contacted yesterday by track and trace to say she's been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid so she has to self isolate now.  Life really is like walking a cliff edge at the moment.

I spent some time this afternoon working on my Christmas list.  Much to my delight ideas were popping into my head so hopefully it will all be done and dusted by the end of the month.

Can't quite believe it's the 1st November already.  Looked at the diary today and felt sad at the things we've had to cancel.  Get togethers with friends  we had hoped might be able to go ahead that we now know definitely won't.  Still, managed to get some online get togethers organised in their place so that's something.

Watched Strictly whilst eating a roast chicken dinner with lovely roasties and homemade cauliflower cheese.  Perfect end to the weekend :-))
