Going, Going, Not Gone.....

A lull in 11+ stress today.
I went to meet Mrs H this morning. It was the first time for ages, since she came to pick up all the Sing and Sign gear in August.
We met at a lovely community cafe/farm shop between Buckingham and Brackley. It was lovely, definitely somewhere to go back to when we can actually go into the shop and look at all the delicious food and treats.
Tea and an Oreo brownie for me, coffee and an enormous slice of cake for Mrs H. Thankfully they had the hall open so we could sit in out of the rain and wind.
It was great to see Mrs H again. We spent hours catching up and setting the world to rights. It’s so rubbish that Coronavirus has taken away her business. And my job. And Sing and Sign from all the families who loved it.
Sigh.
Tonight was the night of the auction that my house would have been in if it hadn’t sold prior. Thank God it was already sold as the auction was painful. Out of 44 lots only 2 sold. It all seemed very flat and depressing. Lot after lot getting a few bids but nowhere near the reserve. The auctioneer, rather than trying to generate some interest and enthusiasm, seemed like he really didn’t want to be there and seemed annoyed with the lack of sales. Painful!!!!
Nottingham is due to go into Tier 3 tomorrow so maybe that had something to do with it. Although developers and investors can still get on with projects so I don’t know why it would make such a difference.
Anyway, my house is safely sold. Whoop whoop!!!!
