Painting Hercules

This morning F and I went to Shrewsbury as I needed to return something to a shop before lockdown and F had a purchase to make.  I was prepared for crowds in which case we would leave straight away without going into a shop.  We were amazed that the roads and town centre were really quiet, not even a queue at the till.

Afterwards we went to Venus Pool Nature Reserve.  We knew that the hides were closed but had a walk around the field.  There were very few birds about but we did see a mistle thrush, a big toad and a pure white pheasant (a first for us).

The photo is of an artist in The Quarry painting a picture of the statue of Hrecules near the River Severn (in the background) which was very high after all the rain.
