An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

Misty morning and good news!

The day started off full of promise (weather wise) but by the afternoon it was damp, dull, grey and the fog was down.

Had a hilarious and much needed two hour zoom meeting with this lot.

Eileen started it off by telling us all about her beautiful new granddaughter Oonagh (see extras) then Dot updated us on her daughter who's baby is due later this month.  Another excited granny (to be :-)  It blows my mind because when we all met, our children were under 5 and that seems like a couple of years ago.  Lots of water and lots of laughter (and some heartache) under the bridge.

The good news kept coming as Alice updated us on her cancer battle.  After a very difficult year starting just as the first lockdown started in March including major surgery and chemo and radiotherapy, Alice is now looking wonderful and considering a phased return to work from next month.

And if that wasn't all good enough news, the announcement of a new President of the United States happened mid conversation and we all cheered, clapped and dabbed our eyes.  Four lots of good news and we were all giddy.  Didn't realise how much we needed good news!

Monthly zoom meetings with this lot now in the diary although we are hoping that the meeting after the next one might actually be in person.  Fingers crossed.

Dinner then Strictly.  What feel good tv that is.  Bill Bailey FTW!  :-)))
