Fly Agaric with 2000 spots?

So today I have managed to post my 2000th Blip entry.  It has taken me since March 2012 to reach here, having been introduced to Blipfoto by John Gravett, along with many others attending his workshops in the English Lakes.  I had hoped to join him this year in a couple of weeks time, but the pandemic put a kibosh on that ... fingers crossed the re-arrange workshop for February 2021 will go ahead.

Instead I headed out to the local woodland nature reserve in search of fungi, in particular specimens of Fly Agaric my sister observed there earlier in the week.  I wanted to find one with 2000 spots so deligently started to count them, but soon realised this was a rather silly endeavour, i.e. a Silly Saturday task as hosted by Carol_dunham. A similar brown one (extra)  just enforced the pointlessness of the task!

Many thanks to everyone who has visited my journal over the years, and taken the time out to comment, star and even give hearts to my entries.  Your appreciation and the wonderful images and stories you have posted in your turn are what keeps me coming back now and for the forseeable future.
