Jackdaw

To be more precise, a Nordic Jackdaw. This was one of two that appeared as soon as Shelling, HarlingDarling (extra) and I came out from the cafe onto the harbour wall, to eat our ice-creams. They had obviously learned that ice-cream cones tasted good and if you hung around, those strange two-legged creatures would leave some for you.  I obliged, as a small payment for their duty as photographic models.
Later we took a walk through some delightful wooded gardens and then through a wild-wood with paths deep in leaves and moss-covered walls (extra).
It was an incredibly English countryside, with many resonances with East Anglia.
Finished the day with a delightful dinner and watching "My Teacher the Octopus" on Netflicks. Wonderful pictures of kelp forests, sea life, and octupuses.
