On time ....

.... to flower at Christmas.   I have a couple if snowdrops that flower before the end of the year and this is one of them.   The other is also nosing through the ground but not as noticeably as this one.

A complicated day.   Woken at 425am, the dog moving around. so I got up and let her out but on the way back to bed I didn't close the kitchen door tight.   Meg found her way back into the kitchen and then the little conservatory style porch where a bag of food waste sat on the windowsill waiting to go out.   A whole chicken carcass was recycled into her tummy, bones and all.   Not a very clever thing :-(     The vets advised that she'd probably be ok but to keep an eye on her and bring her in quickly if she was off colour .... so the trip North for a wheelchair assessment had to be cancelled.   The time at home wasn't wasted though.  Meg had a much needed bath - first time I have had to do this.  Fun of a 'different' kind.   Then the loft insulation was delivered, all thirteen rolls.   After lunch we walked Meg and shopped then I took the car to a garage to get a failed headlight bulb changed, booking the MOT for next month while I was there.   One roll of insulation fitted - an awkward, uncomfortable sort of job, hopefully I'll manage more than one roll a day!   Jamie cooked a delicious chilli for tea and now it feels like bedtime ..... 655pm feels like a long day already!
