Beautiful Blonde Borzoi

We met my daughter and Frankie dog for a lovely walk this morning. The four of us stood on a little bridge over a brook and observed the Remembrance Day two-minute silence in an area that was used as a decoy airfield in WWII.

I had to go to Ongar after lunch and took the Greensted road as usual. I saw two women walking three beautiful Borzoi dogs so stopped and asked if they minded me photographing them. They were fine about it. These sight hounds are so elegant. They have been bred from the working dogs of Central Asian people who migrated to Russia in the 17th century. Their Russian name means fast dog.
