Winter Prognosticator

Dear Diary,

Our weather is turning much colder and greyer after the lovely stretch of Indian Summer we've recently had.  This is a Wooly Bear caterpillar I saw and I put it with a chart.  What kind of winter do you think the wee prognosticator is predicting?  (Keep in mind that he was crawling and is a bit stretched out here.) This is one of the New England folk tales my grandfather taught me years and years ago.  

My jaw is improving but I accidently hit it with my toothbrush last night and that nearly brought me to my knees.  I need to be really careful!
