Not a Roman Road

When we first moved here, almost forty years ago, there were several theories about the paths across the Moor, which are laid with flags.  Amongst them that it was a Roman road.  Sadly it is less romantic than that theory, just a track from the quarries to carry the stone across to Keighley.

We were cooking again this morning, more dishes in to the freezer,  then a walk up to the Moor with a fair bit of social distancing which sent me off on different trails.  A huge black cloud was hovering above, but it didn't rain until I reached home, thankfully.

Just finished an excellent book.  If you love your Nature and enjoy a good mystery then 'Where the Crawdads Sing' by Delia Owens is just one of the best.
