Treetops

In our place there is only window which replaced the original 1841 windows. Today’s entry is taken looking through the 20th century glass and the viewpoint is some 8 metres above the ground level.

The colour of the spruce trees is very autumnal this year. The thumbnail shows a glimpse of Forgan Hall.

Originally built just after WW2, it was the community hub where people from various groups could hold functions including dances. Apparently it was quite the place to be on a Saturday night.

As the farming population declined, and the neighbouring church closed its doors, the use of the hall declined. The building was eventually sold off and converted into a house.

The hall was then sold again in 2003 and we were asked to remodel the hall and make it a comfortable family house.

The extra is of book piles which are on the pending shelf. They are there to be consulted and some are there to be read or are being read.

Another bleak day with some gusty wind and heavy rain showers Some leaves are being blown about. Hopefully a dry day will appear when I can rake up the leaves and cut the grass for what I hope will be the last time in 2020.
