Smoke in the Trees

I was painting in the back bedroom this morning when I spotted the sun highlighting someone's garden fire down in the village.  I like the wispy autumn colours shining through the smoke, with the heavy bank of cloud on the horizon.

We took a turn around the moor this afternoon.  We have to remember to get out smartish as the sun drops down so quickly just at the moment.
