Discovering our community

This afternoon on a bleak and cold November day we walked to this remote plateau high upon Sheriffmuir, the site of the Gathering Stone (see extra) for the Battle of Sheiffmuir in November 1715.

This is the first time either of us had visited it yet we have lived in the area for over thirty years. Why?  Well, one side effect of lockdown is that we are all discovering, or red-discovering little known historical artefacts  in our community during our daily walks.

And hopefully getting fitter at the same time.
