Frankton Staircase Locks

I was all set to do some painting as the weather was grey, damp and miserable.  Late morning the sun came out so I grabbed my coat boots and camera and went for a walk along the Montgomery Canal at Lower Frankton.

This is a shot of the Frankton Staircase locks, the white building is the old toll office.

I didn't see another person on my walk so no problem with social distancing!  It's very different to when the canal boats are cruising along in the holiday season.

There were a lot of migrant thrushes that were determined to avoid being photographed. I did get a photo of a mistle thrush but there was a twig right across it's face - typical!
