Membrillo

A day of rain and dull light, so different from yesterday. So, a good time to catch up with indoor tasks.
This is a bubbling pan of quince paste, on its way to becoming membrillo. It'll be a taste of late summer, during the long dark months.
Tonight we have a Zoom dinner booked with friends who live 2 streets away. Richard's preparing rabbit in mustard sauce; I've made creme caramel. We will take ourselves on an outing to Paris, via these dishes...
