Saltire

St Andrew's Day, and also the day when work on my bathroom renovation started. The van with the man arrived on the dot of nine o'clock and before long all that could be heard from upstairs were assorted sounds of demolition. That continued for a few hours but they actually finished for the day not long before 1pm. Everything that was to be dismantled and removed had been completed. So, as they left to go and collect the supplies for the rebuilding leaving me with little more than a loo (thank goodness for that!), I had the bonus of the rest of the day to myself.

Took advantage of the now sunny weather to wander down to the Canal and along to Bonnyfield Local Nature Reserve (see extra). Walked through that and came out at Bonnybridge to see a saltire fluttering on Cowden Hill. "Blip sorted," I thought before heading home.

Early start tomorrow as van and man are due to return at 8am to rebuild on the space created by today's demolition.
