Flagging

An early (for me!) start today, including the joy of brushing my teeth and washing my face in the kitchen sink as I am, in actor's parlance, between sinks at the moment. Van with man arrived about 8.20am and, later on, another van arrived to deliver more of the items which will soon comprise my new bathroom. And so began my day. The noises from upstairs are, hopefully, the sounds of creation rather than destruction which was yesterday's dominant theme.

Went out for a walk around 11am and hadn't walked far when I spotted a garden with a flagpole on which fluttered a Jolly Roger for some reason. "A fine counterpoint to yesterday's saltire," I thought, and so it became my Blip for the day.
