Demystifying the Washing Machine

I must apologise for the lack of comments at the moment, but these are full on days from early doors to evening, and there is just not any spare time (or energy!)

The aim is to get Euan's two daily naps down to one longer one, so that means keeping him going when he is fading mid-morning, so that is the time to go and feed the ducks.  This morning it was snowing very wet stuff, but as there is no such thing as bad weather, we donned extra layers, tucked him up in his stroller and set off up to the park estate and around the pond, with a quick stop of duck and seagull feeding.  When we reached the park exit it was obvious it was going to be a tricky downhill as the road and pavement were covered in slippy stuff.  We managed that okay and then we had to negotiate our very steep uphill street, which was more fun.

Back home and soggy layers on the radiator, it was time for deliveries.  Due to Covid, Euan has never experienced shopping, so today he put the groceries in his walker and brought them to me in the kitchen and received some of his wooden coins in return.  The washing machine has been a cause of concern so each delivery had to pause awhile whilst it was investigated.  He opened and closed the door several times, 'Careful with fingers!' and gave the drum a good bashing with his plastic spoon which makes a very good noise, then peered at Grandad through the glass.  Hopefully, the washing machine is no longer scary.
