Kitchen sink

Its been a hectic day of sorting gout medical problems.  Because of Covid patients are bundled out of hospital as fast as possible. Inevitably  there are gaps. So I found myself sorting out problems with our local Health centre while M enjoyed a Christmas party  with old Glasgow friends on zoom.

Two nurses arrived later to test his warfarin levels. They had a mobile  kit which gives instant results whereas Larbert hospital still requires a phial full of blood and several hours  waiting for the result. Yet another example how the NHS  hospitals are  starved of cash.

Got an early morning phone call from a neighbour warning me the road was full of black ice. Grateful for the warning because it was treacherous until late this afternoon when the thaw set in.

Meanwhile M is making remarkable progress . Lets hope he doesn't overdo it.
