Smarden Church

Many more lovely comments yesterday and for previous blips. Thank you so much. The new mattress passed its first night with flying colours

Another house viewing this morning in a little hamlet called Maltman’s Hill near Smarden. A barn conversion. Nice garden but rooms very quirky and not at all suitable. You can’t tell either from photos or 3D movies. You have to visit. The house backs onto the road too, something I’d not realised from the satellite view.

From the viewing we drove to Smarden for our packed lunch in the village hall carpark and a coffee from the community shop. All very good. We walked around the village, which is meant to be the prettiest in Kent, admiring the old buildings and the church.

The rest of the walk was not much to write home about. Footpaths through farms are a challenge at the best of times and worse today. We were glad to get back to the car and get home.

As soon as we were through the door there was a call from Doreen meaning Susan had to dash up there to deal with an emergency which there is no knowing how long it will take.
