2nd Sunday in Advent. Waiting.

It is so calm to sit with my early morning mug of tea watching the lights on the mantelpiece flickering dancing shadows.
Time to just be.
For all of us whatever our beliefs this is a time of waiting.
Waiting for better news
Waiting for life to return to more normality
Waiting for the time we can hug our loved ones
Waiting in the dark
For me Advent is the time to reflect on that Light which came to dispel the darkness.
That light which rings out in the words
“ The Light shines in the darkness
And the darkness has not overcome it”
