Second Sunday

A surreptitious shot of the Padre at church today in his violet Advent glory. The two lower candles are the first two Advent ones, symbolising hope and peace. Coming from quite a different tradition, must admit I do like all the visual beauty and symbolism. 

For the next two weekends, Mourão will be in the extreme risk category, which means no circulating after 1pm, so church will be earlier, and no eating out. Church was quite empty today, and only two in the choir - loads of folk are isolating. 

Gratefuls:
- still being able to go to church - it's a big building and the doors are left open, and everyone in masks, so probably safe (but who knows, really??), and then, seeing Deb and Cath doing our Sutton church's 18:30 Livestream
- being invited to lunch at C&E's, who, to borrow a British concept, are really our bubble, I guess
- having a Sabbath, relaxing, remembering, re-orientating ourselves
