Water Picnic

This morning the Little Misses decided to have a picnic on the dining room floor. As it was not long after breakfast I'd said no when they'd asked me for snacks. When Miss E came in to ask me to come and see their picnic I was all ready to get cross and tell them off for raiding the fridge.
I needn't have worried, it was a water picnic!
Almost every cup and beaker we own was full of water on the dining room floor and the Little Misses were gaily drinking out of all them (after very splashily banging cups together and shouting "Cheers!!")
We had a lovely hour or so this morning visiting Mrs C on site at the house they're building. Last time I saw it there were just foundations in the mud. Now it has walls, doors, windows and rooms. You really get a sense of how wonderful it's going to be.
Jealous? Me?!!!!!!
And this afternoon we went to a tea party at Miss F's house with all the girls in Miss E's class. They had a lovely time doing craft, playing, eating scrummy party food and putting on a Show (which descended into sugar fuelled pandemonium!!!)
Miss E is so lucky to be in a class with such lovely kids. And the parents are nice so we're lucky too!!!
Miss L was fine this morning which was a relief, but was awful when she woke up at Miss F's house after falling asleep in the car. She was inconsolably crying and wouldn't be put down for about twenty minutes. She did perk up eventually and had a great time with Miss F's brother, Mr A who's in her nursery class.
I couldn't watch as she stuffed her face with biscuits and cake and mini cheddars etc. It really is like watching her eat poison.
Hopefully hopefully hopefully tomorrow she'll show no ill effects.
Or the day after.
Or the day after that.......
