Today the earth stood still

Unlike two years ago today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Christchurch who have lost loved ones and who have had their lives changed for ever.

Don't ask me why I posted a photo of the shadow cast by the table on the patio. I wonder if it may have something to do with the tiny green weed attempting to make its life in the inhospitable environment of a concrete slab. Maybe to me that felt symbolic for all of those who are still living in broken houses and trying to make sense of all of the insurance rubbish, two years after the event.

Or maybe I'm not that deep.

Who knows? Either way, it seemed fitting today.
