A Little Christmas on the Mantle

A tree-topper has
been repurposed to brighten
a spot for Christmas

My daughter had her hand in this. A lonely tree-topper with no prospects of a tree became the warm glow above my fireplace. Light is so welcome this time of year. 

It's another day of the gloomies. My only real achievement is a batch of Swedish meatballs, my favourites. 

My first Christmas card arrived in the mailbox this afternoon. I've never felt less Christmassy other than the year my husband went into care....more gloomies.
