Anniversary

One year ago I was a wee scared rabbit in Berlin embarking on my first surgery. Oh how naive I was armed with my pack of Nurofen for the pain that ensued for the next twelve months. Recovery was far worse than any surgery.
Four ops later, 17 litres of diseased tissue removed from legs and arms, my lymphatic system can breathe again. Off the pain meds and now can walk and nearly run. I have energy!
This time last year I was facing a decline into immobility and now? The futures bright.
What a year, what a journey, grateful to Covid for making my recovery easier if not the travelling plans.
I’ve got my legs back, my vim, my life... happy days ahead!
