Gingerbread

Maddy made Gingerbread yesterday and iced them plus half the kitchen in the process. I have washed the floor three times and just can’t get it free of stickiness. I just trod in a bit of left over dough. She is taking them to school for her end of year gift for her friends tomorrow. I thought this one looked sweet with a little face. When I was washing up the icing bag I realised she had the one for cannelloni with a huge nozzle. No wonder it dribbled everywhere.

Now all the kids have gone home I can pay attention to getting the place back in order before the next visitors arrive on the weekend.

I finished off my Christmas cards today, I did a total of 40. I know I won’t get that many in return but I enjoy the process of handwriting the envelopes and remembering family and friends. I’m not very good on the phone, I usually feel stressed with phone calls for some reason.

Happy birthday to our dear daughter Cathy who lives in Sydney. She is coming up next weekend for an early Christmas.

There is a lot of rain on the coast with flooding. At least the terrible fires on Fraser Island will be extinguished. Up to 475mm (19 inches) over the weekend. We are in for a wet Christmas by the look of the forecast.
