A day in the life

By Shelling

Flat, wet and blue.

I  bought a pair of wellies a month ago and I haven't actually needed them so far. The sunny weather invited me to go for a walk in the bog not far from here, called "Möckelmossen". It's on the barren plain south from me, called Alvaret. In the last weeks of fog and drizzle it ought to be pretty wet there now. I went on a four kilometres walk in my wellies, and here's the view. Well worth a test trip with my new boots.

This is also the nearest skating place around here. Skating is really good when the bog is as wet as it is now, I hope for some frost soon. The ice freeze quite quickly here, the depth of the lake is no more than some 60 centimetres but mostly only half of that.
