Ohhhhh Yummmm

Early start again as I had my final stint delivering the senior citizens Christmas food parcels. The last two ladies I delivered to were quite poor souls. The last one told me that this would be the only present she would get as her family told her that she doesn’t need anything:(. I felt really sorry for her as her clothes had seen better days but she was happy with her parcel. The lady I delivered to previous to the last ladies had already had a bag delivered so I decided to divvy up the spare bag to these last two ladies who in my mind were the most deserving anyway. I’ve enjoyed my wee volunteering stint:)

Went for lunch to a local farm Cafe called The Earn just outside Bridge of Earn. Not been for ages and it has changed hands since we were last there but was really happy with the soup and the majestic size and quality of the millionaires shortbread. Always a good sign when you see the ratio of Carmel and chocolate to the biscuit base. This one was a winner and not crazy prices either. Excellent coffee from the local Glenlyon Roasters. AND dog friendly!

Our laurel hedge is now planted and fingers crossed for survival. 46 plants in alongside the wall hiding it. Good job done!

Early start tomorrow for the last Farmers market of the year - will we be in time before the Wildhearth Bakery from Comrie sell out of their almond croissants?
