A day in the life

Railway

A couple of weeks ago I blipped from a walk that starts along the old railroad bank, now remade into a bicycle road. This railroad once connected the east and west part of the island, but farming and forest has taken over so it's whole stretch is not visible everywhere anymore. I'm looking east so the railroad once stretched on behind me and connected with the bit you might have seen in my previous blip from the 4th of December. It's possible to walk along it in the forest for a few kilometres but it soon disappears into open fields.

The extra is a kind of a family photo. The young plant found well nourished soil where the older tree used to grow, before the wind took it. Life goes on.
