A day in the life

Fikafire

On the fourth of Advent I was invited for a 11 o'clock fika [fee:kah], meaning a break for a cup of coffee. On this occasion the fika was heavily extended from the usual cup of coffee with a bun of some sort and maybe a small biscuit type of cookie.

The woman in the centre was the invitor and she teaches kids how to cook and bake, among other things, so we had choices of several delicious home baked products and mulled wine as a starter. We had a very nice couple of hours together, a very pleasant group of friends.
Most of the people in the picture are away over Christmas so this was also an opportunity for wishing each other a Merry Christmas. Coffee outdoors works just fine, it's only a question of being dressed for the occasion.
