Dreary Day

This Junco sat in the afternoon dreariness and the photo I took was lacking good focus.....but I liked the red of the berries in the background so this is "good enough" for today. 

All Christmas gifts are delivered and put under the Christmas trees of our children and grandchildren.....except for our daughter and her children.....she will be coming here to our house on Tuesday and her children will be joining her for their early Christmas celebration together.....we will be going to the beach for the week starting Tuesday morning before they get here.....so our house will get to see them, but we will not. It is okay....it is 2020....we feel loved and we love our family dearly, but it will be a different kind of Christmas season. Since Ellie and her family have remained very careful and they are in our "bubble" we will join them for Christmas Day dinner at their house. Ellie's Mommy and her Mother are planning to prepare dinner together....they are very excited and happy to do it. That relationship has been broken for a very long time so this is a big breakthrough ... I hope they are able to work together and feel good about it for the future life Ellie will have with both of them. 

Sometimes the crisis of today will be the opportunity for a better tomorrow.  I hope you all see the joy of this season and find reasons to feel blessed. Stay safe so we can all enter into next year healthy and stronger because of 2020.
