National Christmas Tree

This evening we visited the National Christmas Tree. Years ago,  a giant tree was cut from the forest in some faraway state and then erected on the ellipse (the grassy area between the White House and the Washington Monument)  where it stood sadly for a few weeks as it dried out. Now, thankfully,  a permanent tree is growing there. A frame is put over the tree to hold the lights and ornaments, which keeps the tree from being damaged.
This completes my second year of blipping. When I first started blipping, I had no idea how important it would become to me. "Taking a blip" has become an actual daily event in my house. Thanks to my blip friends for your encouragement and advice!
