Flocks of Birds

Massive flocks of migrating blackbirds have been landing in our trees and on the fields around our house during this past week. It is an absolutely jaw-dropping sight to see.
This morning my grandson and I were heading out on an errand, but when I opened the door, we heard the cacophony from the birds. I grabbed my camera and we ran up to the end of our drive. My grandson was so excited to see all the birds! I took a few photos, and then we closed in on the flock.  There was a great big "whoosh" sound, and the sky blackened as the birds took flight. It was a fantastic sight to see.
