Time for reflection

Reasonable day today - we walked down town after lunch in watery sunshine and had a wander along the seafront. This man and dog were standing around on the town beach and the MV Lord of the Isles - my extra today for the ferry buffs! - was setting off to goodness-know-where; she doesn't normally sail out of Oban. Not entirely sharp - she was a quite a distance away. I looked her up when I got home - "Due to a technical issue affecting MV Isle of Lewis, MV Lord of the Isles will provide an additional Lochboisdale - Oban service, operating via Castlebay." In other words, South Uist and Barra. So many of these ships are getting old and breaking down. I know how they feel!

Too cloudy to see the Great Conjunction this evening! unfortunately

Limerick of the Day:

Sailor Sam rowed ashore at Ann Arbor
Looking forward to finding a barbor.
But he had a close shave
With a permanent wave
When he took a short cut through the harbor.
