A good day

A beautiful day today. Daughter One came over from Mull and we met up and drove down to Ganavan, where we four enjoyed a walk up the cycle track from Ganavan beach towards Dunbeg. The path was rather slippery as we'd had a few degrees of frost, but the sky was blue and the mountains lightly dusted with snow and a good time was had by all. I've put on an extra of the view down to Ganavan beach, ruined a few years ago by the building of a lot of expensive holiday houses. Pleasure for a few at the expense of the many.

After a lovely lunch at a rather sparsely-tabled Poppies café we drove down to Dunstaffnage Castle for a short walk before Daughter One had to leave to catch the ferry back to Mull. It was good to see her especially as she'll no longer be able to join us for Christmas. My Blip today is of the jetty at Dunstaffnage with a snowy Cruachan to the right. Unfortunately the snowy peak is rather shaded by an inconsiderate cloud!

Quote of the Day:

Anton Chekhov - "People don't notice whether it's winter or summer when they're happy."
