Wound up in Wexford

Christmas?

Most of our Christmas decorations are up in the loft, and hence somewhat inaccessible.  Not worth getting the ladder out and clambering up there this year.

This cushion cover was made by mum, and passed on to me many years ago.  It's just a panel with a nice frill - I wonder if it would benefit from some quilting?  It didn't have a cushion in at first, but a couple of years ago, I bought a cheap cushion to fill it.  For some reason, it was being stored with my needlework stuff, but I've had a rearrangement and there isn't room now.  So it has been cluttering up a chair in the studio, along with another couple of cushions and a pillow.  Today, we re-organised the bedding that we keep in the studio, using a vacuum bag to enable it all (including the pillow that previously didn't fit) to be squeezed into a large box which lives on top of the sauna.

We also perched a couple of teddies that have been cluttering the studio up onto the rafters.  So now the chair which is in there awaiting repairs and recovering is accessible, and may get the attention it needs.  It's all progress.

The news is that Norfolk - currently in Tier 2 - is seeing increasing numbers of Covid diagnoses, and as such is likely to be moved up to at least Tier 3, if not Tier 4 after Christmas.  So we need to be prepared for yet more time stuck at home.

The cushion will go up into the loft eventually with the rest of the Christmas stuff.  Meanwhile, it is brightening up my office chair.
