A time for everything

Evening out in Cincinnati

Tuesday
We were blessed today with blue skies and sunshine - a real treat, as they haven’t been much in evidence lately. We enjoyed a good breakfast, then Laura and I made some more mince pies, some to go in the freezer, while Roger took care of our feathered friends, filling up the feeders and the bird bath. I then had a few jobs around the house, while Roger and Laura did their own thing. About 1pm we got out to enjoy the sunshine, driving downtown for a walk along the river - see second collage in extras, showing several of the bridges over the Ohio River, the blue Roebling Suspension bridge, the yellow “Bic Mac” bridge, and the “Purple People Bridge”https://purplepeoplebridge.com/history/
After our walk along the river, we walked a little around downtown, before having an early dinner at Nada’s, our favorite Mexican restaurant. Then it was back to the riverfront to walk across the illuminated Purple People bridge to Newport Kentucky and enjoy the views of the city from across the river. As we crossed the river, (bottom left) we could see in the night sky, a bright star, which if you view in large and zoom in, you can see is actually Saturn and Jupiter. We had viewed them last night, but the visibility was better tonight.
